Catching up...

A lot has gone on since the last time I posted anything on our blog... Micah has been smiling a lot lately and has even started laughing a bit! His personality develops more every day and we continue to be amazed by our little guy... who isn't so little anymore! :) At his 2 month check up, he weighed 13 pounds on the nose, and was 23 1/2 inches long! (for anyone keeping track, he's in the 75-90 percentile for weight and 50-75 for height) We've had our share of play dates, visitors, and fun on the floor in the last several weeks... we've even been out for a few walks! Hopefully the frequency of those will increase now that the weather is getting nicer and we bought a stroller. The number of pictures on our computer keeps getting bigger, so here are a few more of the best ones. :)

One loved little boy!

There's no doubt about it... Micah is one loved little boy! We spent the weekend in Upper Michigan with Aaron's family and got to introduce Micah to the family and friends up there. It was quite overwhelming to see so many people so excited to see him and meet him, and the amount of love that was shown to us as a family was incredible! I don't think Grandma and Grandpa K stopped smiling the entire time we were there... they are quite proud grandparents! :) We had a wonderful time visiting with Aaron's family and have a bunch of pictures filled with smiling faces over our little guy.

It was a busy, full weekend, but we were loved and had a wonderful time. :)

Busy, busy...

We've had a busy couple of days... Grannie Jannie came by on Friday to help bake cookies for an event at church, (actually she did ALL of the baking, while I took care of Micah... thanks, Mom!) and before she left we gave Micah a bath. He's really starting to enjoy bath time! He never really fussed when we bathed him, except for the first time... he wasn't too sure what was going on, and our house can be kind of cold at times. I wouldn't want to be wet and naked in the cold either! :) But I think we've got it figured out now... I crank the heat before we start his bath, use warm water (duh!), and he does pretty well.

On Sunday, we went over to my parents' house in the afternoon and were amused by my goofy brother...

And had our friends Brian and Becky over for dinner...

Becky is going to make a great mom! She can already hold a squirmy baby and eat ice cream at the same time! She's my hero!! :)

On Monday, I had a dentist appointment, so Grannie Jannie came with to entertain Micah...

And the evening hours were filled with staring contests with daddy...

Today, we went over to my friend Shana's house to meet her little guy, Michael... it was AMAZING to see the difference in size between Micah and Michael. Micah is almost 8 weeks old, Michael is just 2 weeks old.
